Projects

Binomial Distribution of Allele Data

Binomial Distribution of Allele Data

The log-likelihood can be maximized under an assumption of a binomial mixture to infer ancestry.

EM Algorithm for Mixture Model

EM Algorithm for Mixture Model

A basic expectation-maximization algorithm to estimate parameters of binomial mixtures.

Signal Decomposition of EEG Data

Signal Decomposition of EEG Data

Use a Fast Fourier Transform to decompose electrical signals to infer brain wave state.

Awards

CLAS Outstanding MS Graduate
Two Master of Science students are selected each semester as outstanding graduates.
C.W. Cotterman Award
Each September, the editorial board of The American Journal of Human Genetics selects two trainee-authored articles published in AJHG in the previous year that best represent outstanding scientific contributions to the field of human genetics.
Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program Grant
The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program is a competitive grant program managed by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. UROP Grants support original student-driven research, creative, and other scholarly activities under the mentorship of a CU Denver | Anschutz faculty mentor.
